கோவில்பட்டியில் நமது Ravilla KRA கல்வி குழுமம் சார்பாக , KRA மெட்ரிக் & CBSE மாணவ மாணவிகள் மற்றும் பெற்றோர்களுக்கு காமராஜரின் பாரத ரத்னா விருது காமராஜர் பிறந்த நாளை முன்னிட்டு நமது பள்ளியில் காமராஜர் குடும்பத்தினரால் காட்சிக்கு வைக்கப்பட்டது.
காமராஜரின் பாரத ரத்னா விருது காட்சிக்கு வைக்கப்படுவது இதுவே முதல்முறை என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. அதுவும் நமது Ravilla KRA பள்ளியில் இது நடப்பது நமக்கு மிகுந்த பெருமை சேர்க்கும் விசயமாகும்.
பாரத ரத்னா விருதுக்கு பள்ளி மாணவர்கள் பேண்ட் வாத்தியங்கள், அணிவகுப்பு மற்றும் பூரண கும்ப மரியாதை அளித்து வரவேற்றனர்.
காமராஜரின் கொள்ளு பேத்தி திருமதி வாணி ரவிராஜ் விழாவை துவங்கி வைத்து பாரத ரத்னா விருதை காட்சிக்கு வைத்தார்.
விருதுநகரில் இருந்து காமராஜர் தங்கை நாகம்மாள் குடும்பத்தினர் சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களாக கலந்துகொண்டனர்.
மேலும், விழாவில் காமராஜர் பயன்படுத்திய சட்டை , காமராஜர் மறைந்த அன்று வந்த செயதித்தாள்கள், காமராஜரின் அரிய புகைப்படங்கள் காட்சிக்கு வைக்கப்பட்டு மாணவ மானவியரால் அழகாக விளக்கம் அளிக்கப்பட்டது.
KRA பள்ளி மாணவிகள் பாடி தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதும் வைரலான பாடல் “நாடு பார்த்ததுண்டா” அதே மாணவியரால் மேடையில் இசைக்கப்பட்டது.

Tamilnadu Former Chief Minister Perunthalaivar Kamarajar’s birthday is celebrated as Educational Development Day since year 2006.
A selfless leader who worked towards bringing the education rate from a mere 7% to a magnanimous 37%.
A man with vision who reopened 6000 schools that were closed and opened 12,000 new schools so that poor rural students need not walk a long route to reach the school. Every village had a primary school and every panchayat had a high school during his tenure. Apart from opening new schools, new education reforms were introduced to improve the standard of education. He introduced free and compulsory education till class 11. When he realized that many children did not come to school as they had to work to feed the family, he introduced the midday meal scheme to provide at least one meal per day to them in 1960s. To improve the standard and quality of learning, he increased the working days from 180 to 200 by removing unnecessary holidays.
He initiated efforts to establish IIT Madras in 1959.
The educational development that we enjoy in our state is all first initiated by him and it is our duty to further develop it as he always wished for and worked for. Let us take an oath that we impart knowledge to our nextgen despite of their caste and creed, despite their socioeconomic status.
It is our responsibility that our children learn about such visionaries who worked honestly and selflessly for the people who needed such support. As a school, Ravilla has done their part and will continue to do. As a parent, do discuss about leaders like him, their policies and their duty to fulfill their dreams about our people.
This year, apart from the regular competitions and programs, Ravilla made the kids realize the importance of celebrating the Educational Development Day on Kamarajar’s Birthday. Children were taken to the theater to watch a movie on Kamarajar’s life, achievements, and philosophy to make them realize that we belong to a state where such a visionary ruled once and brought in this standard of education. To spread the awareness, our students released the famous song on life of Kamarajar, written by Vaali and composed by Maestro Ilayaraja was released a couple of days before his birthday. Various competitions were arranged according to the age-group and certificates and trophies were given.
The Bharat Ratna award that was awarded posthumously and received by his sister Nagammal was brought into the school campus with a royal welcome and displayed exclusively for the parents and students of our school. Kamarajar’s family members brought in the Bharat Ratna and his belongings to the school and graced the occasion. Ravilla KRA Schools Correspondent Mrs. Mythreyi Priya Arun and Managing Trustee Mr. Arun Selvaraj honoured the Kamarajar family members. Teachers and students spoke about Kamarajar and what from his life inspired them. Kids danced on songs on Kamarajar.
Parents, teachers and students visited and paid respect to Kamarajar’s Bharat Ratna award and his dress that was kept in display till evening. The school returned the award and his belongings to the family with due respect and ceremony.
